Yes, most likely. There are federal and state laws designed to protect you from collections harassment, but most of our clients experience some collections calls. While creditor calls can be frustrating, keep in mind that it’s not personal, they’re just doing their job.
If creditors call your family members, it’s often under the pretense that they think it is a number where they can reach you. If they contact anyone who is not you, that person should tell them that they cannot reach you at that number and are required to stop calling. Otherwise, the creditor may continue to call.
